So much more about Growing Up
I have so much to clear/settle/finish/decide within these two weeks before I'm off. The point is, all of them had to come at the same time. basket. It's as good as having period for the next two weeks. Where did holidays go? It's very much a cliché, still it's really fast how time flies. It's already December. Somwhere this year, I sort of grew up slightly. As more responsibility weigh down on me, I'm able to feel the tough/challenge/harsh reality of growing up and adulthood. It's not about me, myself and I nor being complacent about the safety net always at the rescue anymore. It's about looking from some distant, at a much bigger picture, taking the surrounding into consideration and being more precautious. Like I've written some posts ago: It's bittersweet to look back. Some memories you want to relive, some you'd rather evade. You miss your sweet naivette, the days you stumbled across new experiences, skinned your knees and picked yourself up. You miss the youthful enthusiasm! As compared to your present somewhat jaded, cynical self that calculates every step with caution, rationalising it with past experience. You miss the days of plunging into something head-in, having no idea of what you might expect yet you're brimming with an inquisitive spirit. The days you wore your heart on your sleeve, which has now accumulated so much blood and rust that it has almost lost it's ability to feel. Its all about thinking now. Don't be foolish, be mature, take responsibility, think about consequences. |
