Of Forever Friends & Enid Blyton
Sometimes I look at Hallmark ForeverFriends' cards with flowers and old wooden straightback chairs on them and dream of crisp front lawns, strawberries and crea, trees with wooden swings on sturdy branches and wonder what if would be like if life was all Enid Blyton books portays it to be. Garden gnomes and fairies, goblins and talking golliwogs. Would it be as complete and as happy as the books depict? Would the only lessons learnt be that of sharing and being kind? Of lending a helping hand and of showing you care? Wouldn't it be nice? |
